2023 CALIBR Fall Leadership Conference

Registration is now open for the 2023 Fall Leadership Development Conference (October 4th-6th in Washington, D.C.). This year's event will focus on Optimizing Your Leadership Agility, Resilience, and Executive Readiness.

We're also excited to announce that Sheila Johnson, the first African American woman billionaire and the co-founder of BET, will be our keynote speaker. Sheila will share her inspirational story and deeply personal journey about overcoming toxic influences, discovering her true self, and finally finding happiness in her work and life.

2023 CALIBR Summer Leadership Development Conference and Global Executive Forum

As a reminder, this year's leadership development theme is PROGRESSING PERFORMANCE WHILE PROTECTING YOUR HEALTH. Along with learning strategies and tips to help you advance to higher leadership levels, this meeting will also give you the tools to set personal wellness goals and create a more balanced lifestyle.

CALIBR Programming

Twice each year, CALIBR’s Membership meetings combine educational, mentoring and social opportunities that further CALIBR’s mission and strengthen the ties between members:

CALIBR Global Executive Forum

CALIBR’s Global Executive Forum is held each fall in conjunction with the ELC Board Meetings and Annual Recognition Gala, as well as the ELC’s Midlevel Manager’s Symposium – generally in either Washington, D.C. or New York City. This coordination enhances members experiences by encouraging interaction between CALIBR membership and the senior executives they hope to succeed.

CALIBR Summer Meeting

CALIBR’s Summer Meeting rotates throughout the country and features the introduction of CALIBR’s incoming membership cohort. The summer meeting is therefore a chance to network with other high-performing individuals, and an opportunity for the new members to start immediately building the relationships that will strengthen and grow CALIBR’s network for years to come.

CALIBR Transition Management Program

In partnership with LeadershipMARC Coaching and Gate Lane Corporation, CALIBR offers high-end resume and cover letter writing services and coaching to our members at no cost in order to help transition members to more fulfilling career opportunities. Through the Transition Management Program, CALIBR members receive…

  • One-on-one time with a highly recommended resume coach;

CALIBR Board Training

Service on a corporate board is an important aspect of executive leadership, and CALIBR has partnered with a leading board training consultancy to help position members for the boardroom. Through this partnership, CALIBR members have access to the premier training program covering the nuts and bolts of inclusive and socially responsible for-profit corporate governance. Participants in the training, develop and execute a personalized Appointment Action Plan and receive additional coaching and access to opportunities through placement firms to help facilitate board selection. For most, the process begins with non-profit board service as a development opportunity and employee engagement strategy.
